"Temple Town Street," coined by Hideyoshi about 400 years ago, is a collection of temples and shrines. Just south of Kyoto Imperial Palace, the street starts at Marutamachi and ends at Oike, less than 1 kilometer long. Many art merchants congregated along this street. As such, the main products sold here are antiques, both Japanese and Western such as: tea utensils, kimono, old books, watches, bamboo products, nihonga, Western painting, prints, and various other crafts. When walking around in Kyoto, please enjoy looking at works of art or your own preference at Teramachi Art Street. We look forward to seeing you at our place.
